Getty Images announced today the launch of the first Contour by Getty Images Portrait Prize, rewarding the career of an emerging talent in portrait photography, with fewer than five years industry experience.
The winning photographer will be awarded $10,000 and a show at Polka Galerie in Paris in October.
Famed fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh will preside over a distinguished panel of experts to determine the winning photographer, which will be announced in October.
The entries will be open from June 13th to August 5th on The Getty Images grant site: gettyimages.com/grants.
Contour by Getty Images photographer Francois Berthier shoots the master delegate of the Cannes film festival Thierry Fremaux for the cover of Variety.
In Cannes yesterday, Contour By Getty Images photographer Nicolas Guerin opened an exhibition of the extensive work he has produced through the years at the festival.
The exhibition will be shown through the duration of the film festival at Le B.O., the futur restaurant of La Cite du Cinema, premiering at the Five Hotel & Spa in Cannes.
